The short version. The game is free to play, and some extras can be bought. Coins, tickets and cards are for fun inside the game only: they have no cash value and can't be sold or swapped. We never sell cards or random prize boxes. Play fair, be decent, and you keep all your legal rights as a consumer.
These terms are an agreement between you and Y. Lewis, trading as YR Lewis Group ("we", "us"), who runs Know Your Footy ("the game"). By creating an account or playing, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.
Questions? Email hello@knowyourfooty.com. Our postal address is YR Lewis Group, Lytchett House, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole, Dorset, BH16 6FA, United Kingdom.
Know Your Footy is a daily football trivia and card-collecting game. It includes the Daily Legend, Career Path, Team Sheet, Higher or Lower, Quick Fire and Home Turf modes, weekly challenges, divisions, club rankings and private leagues. We'll keep improving it, which means modes, questions, rewards and features may change over time. If a change significantly reduces something you have paid for, see section 7.
We work hard to make every question accurate, and every fact is checked against more than one source. If you think an answer is wrong, please use "Report a question". Answers are marked according to our records. If we find a mistake, we'll correct the question, and we may adjust scores or rewards linked to it.
Please don't:
If you break these rules, we may reset scores or rewards gained unfairly, rename your player name, or suspend or close your account. If we close an account for a serious breach, we don't have to refund purchases, but this never affects your legal rights.
Purchases are handled by our payment partner Stripe. They are "sold through Link", Stripe's reseller service, which acts as the "merchant of record": it takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, and sends your receipt. Your card statement will show LINK.COM* followed by our name. Link's own terms also apply to the payment itself. The price, including any tax, is shown clearly before you pay.
What's on sale (prices at launch; checkout always shows the current price):
What you buy is added to your account straight away.
If you're a consumer in the UK or EU, you normally have 14 days to change your mind about an online purchase. For digital content supplied straight away, the law lets you give up this right: at checkout you'll be asked to agree that your purchase starts immediately, and that you lose the right to cancel once it has started. You still keep every other legal right, including if what you bought is faulty or not as described. Apart from that, all purchases are final: see our Refund Policy.
Know Your Footy is an independent fan game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any player, club, league, competition or governing body. Real players' names, clubs and competitions are mentioned only as historical facts. The game doesn't use player photos, club badges or official logos.
The game's design, cards, artwork, questions, clues and software belong to us. You may share screenshots of your results for personal, non-commercial use.
We aim to keep the game running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Sometimes we'll need to pause it for maintenance or updates. The game is provided for personal entertainment only.
If we break these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result, up to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the problem. We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, or for business losses, because the game is for personal use only.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't legally be limited. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. In the UK, these include your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for digital content that is faulty or not as described.
You can stop playing and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing us. Deleting your account permanently removes your progress and in-game items, and it does not automatically cancel an active subscription, so please cancel that first. We may close accounts as set out in section 4, or with 30 days' notice if we close the game.
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or when the law changes. If a change is important, we'll tell you in the game or by email before it takes effect. If you don't agree, you can stop playing and cancel any subscription.
If something goes wrong, please contact us first and we'll do our best to sort it out quickly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or in the courts where you live. If you live outside England and Wales, you keep any consumer protections that the laws of your own country give you.
